About

Hello, I’m Carla!

I’m a teacher of French as a foreign language, certified with the DAEFLE. I help children and adults learn French online, in one-to-one or group lessons.

I taught at a school in Taiwan, then online for students from a Korean school and a Saudi school. These experiences taught me to adapt to every age, every culture and every pace.

South Korea is what made me want to become a teacher, and I welcome every student with the same curiosity for other cultures. I speak English and a little Korean: I know what it’s like to learn a language, and I can easily put myself in your shoes.

Whether you’re a beginner or want to improve, come as you are: we’ll make progress together, and have fun along the way!

Frequently asked questions

I’m a complete beginner. Is that OK?

Yes, of course! All my lessons are tailored to each student’s level. If you’re starting from zero, we begin with the basics, at your own pace.

Will the lessons fit my time zone?

Yes. I adapt to all time zones: we choose the time slots that suit you together, wherever you are.

Can you explain things in English?

Yes, I speak English fluently. I can explain things in English when it helps, especially at the beginning, and then we gradually switch to French.

How do I prepare for the DELF B2 for Campus France?

B2 level is often required to study in France on a French-taught programme. I prepare you for all four DELF papers (listening, reading, writing and speaking) with methodology, corrected practice papers and mock speaking tests. Ideally, start several months before your exam or your Campus France application.

How do payment and cancellation work?

You can pay for your package by bank transfer, in full or in up to 3 interest-free instalments. You can cancel or reschedule a lesson up to 24 hours in advance; after that, the lesson is deducted from your package.
