Terms and conditions of sale

Version dated 3 November 2026 · This English translation is provided for convenience; the French version prevails.

1. Purpose

These terms and conditions apply to all French lessons provided by Rendez-vous Français to its clients (“the student”). Any registration implies acceptance of these terms.

2. Provider

Carla Lefeuvre, sole trader operating under the trade name Rendez-vous Français — SIREN: 132 334 863 — Address: 4 rue des Mésanges, 44140 Le Bignon, France — Email: rendezvousfrancais.contact@gmail.com (“the teacher”).

3. Services

Rendez-vous Français offers online French lessons by video call, one-to-one or in small groups: general French, exam preparation (DELF, DALF, TCF), everyday French and conversation. Every student can have a free 30-minute trial lesson, with no commitment.

The content, number and length of lessons and their frequency are agreed with the student and set out in the package proposal sent to them.

4. Registration and contract

After the trial lesson, the teacher sends the student a written package proposal (by email or messaging app) stating the number and length of lessons, the total price and the payment schedule. The contract is concluded when the student accepts this proposal in writing. The proposal is valid for 30 days.

5. Prices

Prices are personalised and stated in euros, all taxes included. VAT not applicable, article 293 B of the French General Tax Code.. The applicable price is the one stated in the proposal accepted by the student.

6. Payment

Payment is made by bank transfer, in full or in 2 or 3 interest-free instalments, according to the schedule stated in the proposal. The first payment is due before the first lesson of the package; further instalments are due on the agreed dates.

Any fees charged by the student’s bank (in particular for international transfers) are borne by the student. If an instalment is paid late, the teacher may suspend lessons until payment is received.

7. Lessons

Lessons take place by video call, on dates and at times agreed together, taking the student’s time zone into account. The student is responsible for having a suitable internet connection and equipment.

If the student is late, the lesson still ends at the scheduled time. After 15 minutes of unannounced lateness, the lesson is considered as given.

8. Cancelling or rescheduling a lesson

By the student: a lesson can be cancelled or rescheduled free of charge up to 24 hours in advance. After that, the lesson is deducted from the package.

By the teacher: if the teacher has to cancel a lesson, it is rescheduled on a date agreed with the student or, failing that, refunded.

9. Package validity

Lessons in a package must be used within 6 months of the first lesson. This period can be extended by mutual agreement, in particular in case of illness or a justified impediment.

10. Right of withdrawal

A student acting as a consumer has 14 days from the conclusion of the contract to withdraw, without giving any reason. To do so, they simply inform the teacher in writing, for example by email to rendezvousfrancais.contact@gmail.com, or using the form in the appendix.

If the student wishes to start lessons before the end of this period, they must expressly request it in writing. If they withdraw after lessons have started, they remain liable for the price of the lessons already given, calculated pro rata to the package price. If all the services in the package have been fully provided before the end of the period, at the student’s express request, the right of withdrawal can no longer be exercised.

Any sums due to the student are refunded by bank transfer within 14 days of receiving their request.

11. Stopping a package

Outside the right of withdrawal, packages are non-refundable. However, if the student is unable to attend lessons for a serious and justified reason (medical reasons, force majeure), lessons not taken are refunded pro rata.

12. Commitments

The teacher undertakes to do everything necessary to provide quality lessons adapted to the student’s level and goals. This is an obligation of means: passing an exam or reaching a level also depends on the student’s own work and cannot be guaranteed.

13. Materials and recordings

Lesson materials are for the student’s personal use only and may not be shared. No lesson may be recorded without the agreement of both parties.

14. Personal data

The student’s data is processed in accordance with the privacy policy.

15. Complaints and mediation

Any complaint can be sent to rendezvousfrancais.contact@gmail.com. If a dispute cannot be resolved, a consumer student will be able to refer it free of charge to the consumer mediator, who is currently being appointed; their contact details will be added here shortly. In the meantime, every complaint receives a reply within 14 days.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection provisions of the student’s country of residence. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first.
